It's Cooler in the Mountains

Brooke Love

Hi, I’m Brooke—and yes, I really do love Carroll.

As the Tourism Director for Carroll County, Virginia, I get to wake up every day and help people Find Their Cool in the Blue Ridge Mountains. From scenic overlooks and hidden waterfalls to old-time music and local makers, my job is to connect the magic of our mountains with the people who are ready to experience it.

Born and rooted in Southwest Virginia, I believe tourism should feel less like a transaction and more like a love letter—to our land, our people, and our stories. Around here, it’s cooler in more ways than one: cooler temps, cooler trails, cooler neighbors.

About Me

When I’m not mapping out new itineraries or dreaming up interactive experiences at the Blue Ridge Plateau Regional Visitor Center, you’ll probably find me chasing a sunset, exploring a back road, or talking with a local about their next big idea.

Because around here, we don’t just promote destinations.

We cultivate belonging.
We celebrate place.
We find our cool—together.

What I Bring to the Mountains...

Tourism works best when it works for the people who live here. I’m passionate about building experiences that strengthen local businesses, celebrate Appalachian heritage, and protect the natural beauty that makes our mountains so special.
